One of the UK`s  leading online gaming sites PartyPoker, has been forced to withdraw its advertising campaign for their $2 million prize game pool   after Advertising Standards Agency stepped in and deemed that it was “misleading”

The advertisment said that players win more at PartyPoker, and when just one person complained, the ASA stepped in.

Their findings said that in May 2008 an opinion poll had been taken and was completed by 10,000 players , but only of PartyPoker, and  therefore was not a fair reflection of the general public. In addition it inferred that you could win more money at PartyPoker than any other gaming site on the internet.

A statement from the ASA said that readers were likely to interpet the claim as subjective.

The PartyPoker advertisement is just the latest online gaming site to have come under scrutiny from the ASA , as just  a few weeks ago ladbrokes had their TV advertisement banned for encouraging reckless behaviour.

As of yet PartyPoker have no comment to make as to the decision taken by the ASA.
