Moorman wins GUKPT leg 4 in Manchester
Simon Moorman won the GUKPT leg 4 in Manchester yesterday, after seeing off a fantastic final table. Surinder Sunar was the 1st to depart the final table, after being short stacked for some time he finally lost his battle and walked away with £5,960. This was Sunars 3rd final table in GUKPT events.
The play went on deep into the night, and when there were 5 players remaining a deal was struck, although £15,000 was left in the pot to play for , and of course the all important seat in the champion of champions event, to be held later on in the year.
Simon Moorman, who only got into the event after his son paid his entry for his birthday was by far chip leader, and considering he had only played 1 live game prior to this event he was doing really well, and it was agreed that he would take £59,000. 2nd in chips Harri Isomaki from Finland actually qualified for the event in an online freeroll , so he was actually freerolling all the way to £47,000.
So the final standings after deals were done were:-
1st Simon Moorman- £74,000
2nd Harri Isomaki- £47,000
3rd Eddie Lundon- £30,000
4th Kenny Burke -£30,000
5th Andy Booth- £35,000
6th Kev Holdstock- £14,300
7th Dave Maudlin – £11,320
8th Edward Roger – £8,340
